Excitement

Tomorrow I get to see my brother.  I have not seen him since my graduation in May.  He is going to be down at my parents’ house for his birthday.  I am happy to see him, even if it is just for a weekend.

Hopefully, this six hour car ride down to South Florida will not be too troublesome.  It looks like Tropical Storm Fay is headed in my direction.  I am kind of nervous about driving through this storm.  But I am hoping that Fay will weaken a lot tonight.  From this radar image, it looks like I will not be clear of her rain bands even near Orlando.  I did not realize how big this storm was.  Wish me luck!

The Simple Pleasures of Traveling

It is no secret that I love to travel.  I love getting away, seeing new things, and eating a lot (especially new foods).  I also love traveling somewhere to see people I love.  Even if I go back to Boston 10 times a year, it is still a worthwhile trip.

Two weekends from now, I get to see my big bro (the best brother there is) .  He will be turning the big 2-4 and celebrating in South Florida.  I have not seen him in a few months, so that will be a nice short trip.

In about two months, I get to see one of my favorite cousins, Bucky/Beckita.  We are going to go to Disney World for her birthday.  I know, I know…another Disney trip.  But hey, how often do I get to see my cousin?!  It should be an awesome trip!  When we get together, we get extra silly.  I love that!  What out Mickey!! Here come the Saos!

One of my best friends from high school has just moved out to L.A.  I think this is a great chance to see her and checkout the west coast.

I have been terribly homesick since I moved to Florida four years ago.  So, any chance I get to see extra familiar faces is a plus!
